Last winter I traveled to  Jamaica and stayed at the wonderful Jamaica Inn Resort, what an amazing experience… especially when I woke up one morning to find a batch of freshly hatched baby turtles on the beach, experiencing the miracle of nature as they were making their way to the big blue sea, that moment I will remember forever…

But this is not the only good memory I have of Jamaica inn, in fact everything was a bliss! I treated myself to a massage and natural body polish treatment at the Ocean spa with fresh pineapple and coconut oil.

Sometimes getting pampered by the pros makes all the difference in the world!

Sheree the manager kindly offered to share the recipe of the body buff treatment, let me tell you how my skin felt after…baby bottom smooth!

This body scrub recipe or body polish is exfoliating and will eat the dead skin cells away leaving your skin smooth and glowing.

    • Hi Lorraine, if you are using fresh pineapple make it fresh just before you use it or keep it in the fridge for max 2 days.
There is no such thing as pineapple essential oil but you can find pineapple extract.
If you use pineapple extract be very careful in the amount you use as this is strong and can irritate your skin. Usually an extract should not exeed 0,5% of the final amount of your product but please check the label of your product.
To me nothing beats fresh pineapple!
      Hope this helps!

  • Coconut Butter is coconut manna not coconut oil. They are different the coconut butter adds grit to the scrub making it almost like a polish. Coconut oil is just oil. The hyperlink links to coconut oil not butter. The butter would actually enhance this scrub. I make my scrubs with coconut butter I process myself from organic unsweetened coconut flakes. If I tell you it smells like a fresh coconut...unbelievable.
