In this easy to make shea butter lip balm recipe, I am using beeswax, refined organic shea butter, apricot kernel oil, coconut oil and castor oil. Shea Butter is naturally rich in Vitamins A, E, and F, as well as a number of other vitamins and minerals. Vitamins A and E help to soothe, hydrate, and balance the skin and your lips will thank you for it!

Coconut oil and castor oil will give extra shine in this shea butter lip balm recipe but if you prefer less shine you can switch for another carrier oil. You could replace the coconut oil and castor oil by apricot kernel oil or sweet almond oil. This is a great shea butter lip balm recipe to protect your lips from the sudden change of temperature… It also keeps your lip moisturized and healthy.

After making this DIY lip balm, I can bet you will never buy burts bees or any other commercial lip balms!

I would not use castor oil in body creams because it is way too sticky! It’s best to use castor oil in lip balms.
