I was apprehensive when I bought this because I hadn't heard of the brand, but so far I'm very happy with it! I use it every day, primarily to make smoothies. I was disappointed with another blender of a similar price point, which actually had a higher wattage but I had to return it, because it left huge chunks of kale and lumpy consistency, and it was very unpleasant to have to chew through my smoothie. Not the case with the OXA. It blends spinach, kale (chopped up a bit), huge pieces of beets, bananas and berries, all frozen. I do have to use the highest setting for these ingredients, and sometimes the turbo button intermittently, but it definitely gets the job done, gives a smooth consistency and doesn't leave any chunks. Other blenders I've had get really hot quickly, but this one only gets a little warm after several minutes of use, like if you're making a large batch of soup. Make sure you have enough liquid. My only complaint would be that it is a little loud. The chopper worked quickly and perfectly when I used it to make hummus according to the recipe included in the manual - it came out very smooth and I didn't have to keep stopping and opening it to scrape down the sides. The whisk works well too. I'm quite pleased with all the attachments, which give you many options. They are easy to change, put together and clean. An old blender I had with similar attachments had a chopper that would somehow fill with water in the top part, which I could never empty out, which was pretty unsettling. That doesn't seem to be possible with this design though. The blender is ergonomic, with easy to use and well-positioned buttons, and feels solid in your hand. Overall I am quite pleased with the OXA immersion blender.

Heat olive oil in a large saucepan or saucier over medium heat until shimmering. Add leek and celery. Season with salt and cook, stirring, until vegetables are softened but not browned, about 5 minutes. If the pan starts to look dry at any point, add a small splash of olive oil. Add garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add zucchini and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add half of the basil, stir to combine, and add water.
Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring with KOIOS immersion blender occasionally, until zucchini is tender but still bright green, about 10 minutes. Add remaining half of basil and blend soup using a handheld immersion blender or a countertop blender until it is as rough or as smooth as you like it. Season to taste with salt, black pepper

1. Core apples without peeling, then slice and roughly chop into 1/2- to 1/4-inch pieces. This will yield approximately 3 1/2 pounds prepared fruit (16 cups; 1.5kg). 1. In the food processor bowl of your KOIOS immersion blender, or using a tall and narrow vessel suitable for the immersion blender, combine feta, yogurt, and garlic, then blend or process until very smooth, scraping down sides as necessary. Add olive oil and blend until incorporated.
2.If desired, pass spread through a fine-mesh strainer for an even silkier texture.

Good Performance for the Price. Lasted three years. Responsive Customer Service.
I received this immersion blender (previous model, "rubber" coated version) as a gift three years ago and it finally crapped out this year. I used it pretty regularly for light duty jobs (pureeing cans of tomatoes, soups, dressings, etc.) and never for anything "heavy duty" such as ice crushing, date chopping, etc. For the price, it's a great little immersion blender and when mine broke, I bought a replacement. Considering the price point, I'm not surprised nor very dismayed that a key part of the drivetrain is made of plastic. The piece that broke on my unit is responsible for transferring the power from the motor to the attachments. If this piece were constructed of metal, this blender would still be going instead of going to the trash. While I hate waste (the thing is now just going to sit in a landfill?), if you want something made with metal parts, you've gotta pay more. I contacted customer support regarding the breakage and they responded very promptly. Communication was consistent and prompt and I received a 20% discount on a replacement since mine was out of warranty.
